Tracker status
“Historical archive” describes source coverage, not a failed check. “Review pending” and “Last-known-good” retain the previous validated archive.
What the states mean
A source can pass its latest check while the tracker is historical because the election cycle has ended or the archive has no current polling. Declared gaps remain visible rather than being filled with interpolation. Non-blocking warnings describe unusual source metadata that passed publication validation.
When ingestion fails or a destructive source change needs review, Bismuth keeps the immutable last-known-good snapshot online and marks the health state separately. No failed candidate replaces public polling data.
