Overview
The Slovenian tracker records published nationwide support for parties contesting the National Assembly. The party field changes frequently, so the archive preserves distinct list identities and treats the current local balance as valid only for its sourced period.
Electoral system context
Most Assembly seats are allocated proportionally through electoral units and districts, with a national threshold for ordinary lists. Separate guaranteed representation for the Italian and Hungarian national communities follows different rules and is not represented by nationwide party polling.
Party and bloc rationale
The reviewed current-cycle left-side group is Freedom Movement (GS), Social Democrats (SD), and Levica plus Vesna. The right-side group is SDS, the NSi/SLS/Fokus list (NSF), Democrats and SNS. Other lists remain outside; these are navigation groups, not coalition forecasts. The Levica–Vesna platform establishes the social and green rationale for their left-side placement. Some pollsters report a joint LV figure while others report separate Levica and Vesna figures. A poll uses the joint figure once or requires both separate figures; it never adds both layouts or substitutes zero for an absent value. The current grouping starts at the 22 March 2026 election. Older archived polls remain available but are not retroactively assigned current parties. The summary uses the same complete poll totals on both sides, weighted over 45 days.
Polling limitations
New parties can rise between elections and predecessor-successor relationships are not automatically comparable. Values near the threshold are sensitive to sampling and rounding, while national polls do not describe minority seats, district candidate preferences or post-election coalition bargaining.
Bloc summaries use complete paired polls within 45 days of the latest archive record, weighted by recency and sample size. Both sides use the same eligible polls. The tracker and map show the number of complete polls and their supporting date, which can precede the latest archive record; missing parties are not assigned zero. The comparison’s latest-poll balance is a separate individual observation.
