Overview
The tracker records published nationwide party support for Norwegian parliamentary elections. It provides a consistent view of party movement and source coverage while keeping each observation separate from the electoral and coalition decisions that follow a campaign.
Electoral system context
Norway allocates seats proportionally in counties and uses levelling seats to improve national proportionality. A national threshold applies to access to levelling seats, although parties can still win constituency seats below it, so support near the threshold needs careful interpretation.
Party and bloc rationale
The local balance groups Rødt, SV, MDG, Labour and Centre against Liberal, Christian Democratic, Conservative and Progress. Other parties remain outside. This is a country-specific navigation grouping and does not assert an official coalition, fixed ideology or equivalence with blocs elsewhere.
Polling limitations
National values cannot capture county allocation or the different consequences of being above or below the levelling threshold. Pollsters also vary in weighting and minor-party reporting, and the election-cycle archive should not be treated as continuous where no comparable nationwide table is available.
