Overview
This archive follows published national party-support measures used in Japanese political polling. Many surveys ask general party support rather than a specific constituency or proportional-ballot intention, so the chart should be read as an opinion series with its original question context in mind.
Electoral system context
Japan's House of Representatives combines single-member constituencies with proportional representation blocks, and voters cast ballots for both components. Candidate strength, district competition and proportional lists can therefore produce an election outcome that differs from a national party-support poll.
Party and bloc rationale
The current local balance groups CRA, JCP, Reiwa and SDP against LDP, Ishin, DPFP, Sansei and CPJ, with Mirai and others outside. These time-bounded sets are Bismuth navigation aids for the published party field, not official ideological categories or coalition forecasts.
Polling limitations
Party-support questions often produce high undecided or no-party responses that are not displayed as a party series, and small samples can make minor-party movement noisy. The public archive is comparatively sparse and label changes require care; absent rows or values are never interpolated.
