Overview
This tracker compiles published nationwide legislative voting-intention measures where a comparable party or alliance value is available. French labels and alliances change frequently, so the archive preserves the keys used in each source period rather than pretending that every series is timeless.
Electoral system context
Deputies are elected in single-member constituencies through a two-round system with qualification rules for the second round. National first-round intention does not capture constituency nominations, withdrawals, alliances between rounds or local candidate strength, and therefore cannot be converted directly into seats.
Party and bloc rationale
Within the current sourced period, NFP or earlier left alliances and other-left entries form the local left grouping; LR, RN, REC and DLF form the local right grouping. Ensemble and other centrist entries stay outside. This is a time-bounded navigation aid, not an official or internationally comparable ideology score.
Polling limitations
Legislative polling is less continuous than presidential polling, alliance labels can change between surveys, and many polls test scenarios that are not comparable. The tracker includes only the declared nationwide series, breaks lines across source gaps and does not infer a value for a successor alliance from an earlier label.
