About Bismuth Media Polls

An independent archive of national party-vote polling from multiple countries.

Why this exists

Individual poll releases are useful, but they are noisy. Headlines often remove the surrounding history: whether a movement is sustained, whether pollsters disagree, and how support changed around earlier elections.

Bismuth Media Polls keeps the individual observations visible while adding optional trend lines, exact election dates, source details, and long-range controls. The aim is orientation and inspection, not prediction.

A smaller map with real pages

The world map only colours countries with a published, source-backed tracker. Unsupported countries remain grey. This is deliberate: a short list of complete country pages is more useful than a map filled with estimates or placeholders.

Each completed country page is expected to meet the same standard as the New Zealand tracker, including filters, trend choices, point and line controls, exact election markers, drag-to-zoom, reset, a poll table, and a clear account of its sources.

Independent and non-partisan

The project is not affiliated with a political party, campaign, pollster, publisher, or government. Bloc summaries on the global map are navigation aids based on locally documented groupings; they are not rankings of countries or claims that left and right mean the same thing everywhere.

Advertising may eventually help pay for hosting and maintenance. It must remain sparse, clearly labelled, and outside the primary chart interaction flow.

Development

Country coverage is expanded in verified batches as reliable historical sources are connected. Corrections and additional primary sources are welcome.
